FREDDY LIM PROFILE

Mr. Lim has an extensive experience in the lighting industry. He is currently a member of the Professional Lighting Design Association (PLDA) the European Lighting Authority as well as the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). He is a founding member of the Chinese Lighting Design Association (CLDA) and is holding the post of International Director. He graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts (Accounting and Finance) and started in the project lighting field 28 years ago, working with architects, interior designers, landscape architects as well as owners. There he has the opportunity to associate with international lighting consultant to do collaborative work on project management and design implementation. Through his interest, he did self-learning, attended seminars and lighting workshops to acquire the necessary lighting knowledge.

 

Mr. Lim quickly rose from Project Executive to Project manager and subsequently to the post of Design Director. He then built up a team of designers to provide lighting design and solutions services.

 

With his thorough understanding of lighting philosophy as well as lamp and luminaire technology, the team is able to cover a wide range of projects such as public corporate buildings, hospitality and commercial developments, art gallery as well as residential spaces. His knowledge of the lighting field extends to include the understanding of lighting impact of the human physiology.
